Kids Night Out

WHEN: Friday, March 12, 7:30-9:30 p.m.

WHERE: The Art Center of Highland Park, 1957 Sheridan Road

On the second Friday of every month The Art Center offers parents the opportunity to enjoy a kid-free night out. Drop the kids off at The Art Center for a night of art projects, pizza, and movies.

PasspORT To Savings

WHEN: Friday, March 12-Saturday, March 20

WHERE: Participating Downtown Highland Park Retailers

Purchase a PasspORT To Savings card and receive a 20% discount on all regularly priced merchandise at participating stores during PasspORT week. Highland Park Historical Society "Here's Lookin' At You" Homegrown Benefit Gala

WHEN: Saturday, March 13, 6:00 p.m.

WHERE: Birchwood Club, 1174 Park Avenue West

The Highland Park Historical Society will host its Homegrown Benefit Gala, "Here's Lookin' At You" on Saturday, March 13. The Society will induct Highland Park native Stansfield Turner, former Director of the CIA, into the newly-established Hall of Fame as the "Person of the Year 2010". Basketball star Michael Jordan will be honored in absentia as the "Person of the Year 2009". Music will be provided by the Highland Park Pops Big Band and the Matt Nelson Jazz Trio. Additional entertainment will be provided by the Improv Playhouse North Shore Traveling Troupe. The gala will also feature short films starring many of Highland Park's "homegrown" residents. Tickets for the black-tie gala are $125 each and can be purchased by calling 847-432-7090 or through www.highlandparkhistory.com.
