About the Alliance
Public-Private Partnership
The Downtown Highland Park Alliance is a public-private partnership of the Highland Park CBD Property Owners Association, the City of Highland Park and the Highland Park Chamber of Commerce. The Alliance was founded in 2008 to enhance the economic vitality of Downtown Highland Park. The operations and promotions of the Alliance are funded by a Special Service Area commercial property tax currently authorized through 2013.
Programs
The Alliance is primarily responsible for the marketing of Downtown Highland Park. Programs include tenant recruitment; shop local campaigns, including the Downtown HP Gift Card program; the production and marketing of events; and raising awareness of the district among regional consumers.
Alliance Board Meetings
The Board of Directors of the Downtown Highland Park Alliance meet on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 7:45 a.m. at the Highland Park City Hall.
Alliance Staff
The Downtown Highland Park Alliance has two full-time staff members, as well as a part-time Retail Recruiter.
Gift Cards
As part of its Shop Local campaign, the Downtown Highland Park Alliance funds and manages the Downtown HP Gift Card program. The Downtown HP Gift Card offers one-stop shopping for the gift purchaser and convenient flexibility for the gift recipient. May be purchased in increments of $5 to $500 for no fee.

Downtown Highland Park is a walkable commercial district with 125+ retailers, 30+ restaurants and a variety of entertainment and service uses. It is located in the heart of Highland Park on Chicago's North Shore.
